ADAS

  • Recommended installation height range of ADAS: 150cm~240cm.
  • Allows installation height range of ADAS: 120cm~260cm.
  • Locate on the horizontal centerline of the vehicle.
  • Keep the vehicle parked on the flat ground to ensure the image of the camera as ground-level during installation.
  • The ADAS camera is requested to installation in the middle of the front windshield without affecting the driver's line of sight.
  • If the vehicle comes off the swiper as below (photo), the ADAS camera should be installed in the swiping area. Ensure the ADAS camera installation area (especially the lens) can be cleaned in the rainy weather. But the ADAS camera can not be covered by the stationary swiper as this will affect ADAS working.

  • If the vehicle comes with a wiper in the middle of the windshield (e.g. below vehicle), The ADAS camera can be installed within the working area of the left and right wipers and ensure the ADAS camera (especially the lens) installation area glasses can be cleaned in the rainy weather.

30-meter calibration method (Recommend)

  1. After the ADAS camera is installed, use a ruler to measure vertically and find the corresponding point on the ground (Point B) and then draw one line for 30 meters (from Point B to Point C)
  2. Adjust the lens angle of ADAS, so that the 30-meter horizontal line showed the calibration screen coincides with the C-point 30 meters on the ground.

5-meter calibration method

  1. Use a ruler to measure vertically and find the corresponding point on the ground (Point B) and then draw one line for 5 meters (from Point B to Point D)
  2. Put the ruler at point D, read the cross display height value of 5 meters vertical line and 30 meters horizontal line on the right side of the calibration screen, and mark the corresponding height scale on the ruler.
  3. Adjust the Angle of ADAS to make the 30-meter horizontal line in the calibration screen coincide with the set ruler mark.

1. Measure the height of the ADAS camera lens to the ground.(Ensure that the ruler is vertical to the ground).

2. Input the ADAS lens installed height on the page "Preferences→Other Setup→Algorithm".

3.Change the ADAS channel to the calibration mode on the page "Preferences→IPC Setup".

4. Adjust the Camera.

  1. In the 30-meter calibration method, place a highlight mark at 30 meters from the front of the vehicle on the ground (Point C in Slide 28).
  2. In the 5-meter calibration method, place a ruler in front of the vehicle 5 meter away (Point D), make a highlight mark on the ruler at the relative height (161cm).
  3. Adjust the ADAS lens, align the 30m line with the highlight mark on the ground(30-meter calibration method) or on the rule (5-meter calibration method).

5. Resume the ADAS channel to the normal mode.

The channel mode must resume to normal mode after calibration. Otherwise, there will be no alerts.
